My father gave me his old Minolta film camera when I was fourteen and I fell in love with taking portraits. After my first B&W film photography class the darkroom closed, but I knew I’d found my calling, so my dad and I built a darkroom in our basement.
At eighteen, I moved to Paris to attend Spéos, the Paris Photographic Institute. I didn’t speak French and I didn’t know anyone, but I’ve always had a magnetism toward adventures with a challenge. Flash forward a decade: I live in Chicago and work worldwide.
